NV5 Global, Inc., a company that provides compliance, technology, engineering, and environmental consulting solutions, has recently secured $10 million in contracts from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for various infrastructure projects in the state.
Dickerson Wright, the Executive Chairman of NV5, highlighted the company’s DOT Growth Initiative, which aims to ensure that their engineers and technical professionals can directly communicate with clients to provide top-notch technical expertise. NV5 has been supporting NCDOT for more than 25 years, and the recent contracts reflect their commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for North Carolina’s transportation infrastructure.
One of the contracts awarded to NV5 is a five-year, $4 million contract for the NCDOT Rail Division’s Raleigh to Richmond (R2R) Roadway Design project. This project will involve delivering roadway and drainage design, utility coordination, and cost estimating services, partially funded by a grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) awarded to NCDOT in 2022.
Additionally, NV5 was selected by the NCDOT Western Region for a two-year, $4 million contract to support transportation infrastructure development, project plan reviews, and technical report creation. The company will also serve as a general engineering consultant, reviewing engineering designs to facilitate infrastructure project delivery.
Another contract awarded to NV5 is a two-year, $2 million contract to support the NCDOT Comprehensive Environmental Analysis Unit (EAU). This project includes conducting statewide natural environment studies, historic architectural and landscape analyses, public involvement and community studies, and archaeological investigations.
